When Discussing Fair Use, a number of factors are involved.
Grumpy Opinions was set up as a platform for members, authors and contributors to1:
Express their opinions about current events, a right protected by the First Amendment.
Frequently these articles will contain quotes or excerpts from other sources, standard practice is to make it obvious the quoted material came from another source by including the name of the source, inserting an easy to find link back to the originating website and using quote blocks, indentation or some other method to make it clear to readers that the author of the Grumpy Opinions Article was not the author of the quoted portion. Authors are encouraged to use the minimum amount of borrowed content necessary to make their point, and give the reader a reason to visit the originating website.
As noted in our Disclaimer:
Educate people so they can make informed decisions about what’s happening in the world around them.
Provide links to articles on other websites and media outlets we believe our members and readers will find important, interesting and informative.
Typically these posts contain an excerpt, and since we hope our readers to read the entire article, we provide an easy to find link to the originating site. We believe the use of images encourages people to visit the originating site.. especially when the images are part of the original article. However we do sometimes use images from other sources.
We will not use any content if, for any reason, we suspect it will deprive someone of income or traffic to their website.
Grumpy Opinions is a totally Non Commercial, Non-Profit Website:

If it came to the editors attention that an author or contributors had received compensation for supporting or opposing an issue, they would lose their posting privileges.

1: Grumpy Opinions is a platform for Conservatives to express their opinions and to bring to light that which the globalist media complex (aka Mainstream Media) will not. Our members, authors, contributors, editors and readers believe that their views are not represented by Progressive elites of both parties, a globalist media complex of pro-abortion, pro-gun control, stealth jihad, Socialist and Communist, anti-Christian, anti-Conservative, anti-Semitic, anti-free speech, anti-American ideologues. This, of course, would include the likes of Facebook, Google, Twitter and YouTube.
Such entities endorse all aspects of political correctness and while pretending to demand tolerance of others have declared war on Conservative values and are themselves fiercely intolerant and antagonistic toward free speech, thought, American values and exceptionalism.
Case in point, the purge of Conservative opinions from mainstream media sites, shadow banning, censorship AND suspension of Conservative social media accounts resulting from social media algorithms that track Conservatives and social media abuse reports (aka discrimination) filed by Progressive trolls/bots determined to silence Conservative voices (aka the purge).
Another example is the intentional mislabeling of Conservative voices as “Russian bots” and/or “Russian trolls” by Progressive bureaucrats and their puppet masters lurking in the shadows.
While there are “Russian bots” and/or “Russian trolls” sowing chaos on social media, the intentional mislabeling of Conservative voices as “Russian bots” and/or “Russian trolls” by the Communist media complex, Progressive bureaucrats, pundits and supporting entities is intended to suppress free speech, thought, concerns and interests of Conservatives.
Conservatives are not “Russian bots” and/or “Russian trolls.”
