Ralph “Coonman” Northam is now saying, “it wasn’t me” (aka The Shaggy Defense.”)
After owning up on Friday to the yearbook photo of a man blackface alongside a man dressed as a member of the Ku Klux Klan, Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam, is now on the “it wasn’t me” defense (aka The Shaggy Defense.“) Yes, you read that right.
Less than 12 hours ago, Northam stated, “I cannot change the decisions I made nor can I undo the harm my behavior caused then and today. But I accept responsibility for my past actions, and I am ready to do the hard work of regaining your trust;” and after sleeping on it (provided he slept at all), Northam refusing to resign has opted for the on the “it wasn’t me” defense (aka The Shaggy Defense.“)
According to Northam, he does not believe that he is the man in Blackface or dressed as a Klansmen but he’s looking into it.
The Governor who has the his whole party of Regressives losing their minds is scheduled to hold a televised press conference this afternoon on the matter.
Northam’s searching for a way out even if it means getting someone else to fall on their sword on his behalf.
We will find out soon enough but in the meantime…
BREAKING: As first reported by @jmartNYT– I too can confirm that @RalphNortham has reached out to prominent Virginia Democrats informing them that he now does not believe it was him in the photo. He also does not plan to resign.

Could Northam’s refusal to resign have something to do with his Lt. Governor being a Black man?
Ralph Northam won’t resign bc his Lt Gov is black
His racism is endless

Maybe if the VA Lt. Governor was white, @RalphNortham would step down.
But ol' "Coonsman" Ralph ain't gonna let Justin Fairfax rule the Commonwealth.#RalphIsARacist

ORIGINAL POST and TITLE:
VA Gov Ralph Northam, Nicknamed “Goose, Coonman,” Apologizes but the Bleeding Won’t Stop. (UPDATED)
The attacks and calls for Virginia Governor Ralph Northam to step down after yearbook photographs surfaced exposing Northam as a member of the Ku Klux Klan or a white man in Black face standing next to a Klansmen (we don’t know which because Northam has not revealed which it is) continues to grow.
As the calls grow, Northam continues to apologize about the revelations from a story that broke courtesy of Big League Politics and confirmed by The Daily Caller. Links below:
- YEARBOOK: Ralph Northam In Blackface & KKK Photo Source: Big League Politics
- NORTHAM APOLOGIZES FOR YEARBOOK PHOTO OF BLACKFACE AND KKK ROBES Source: The Daily Caller
Earlier this week, Northam rationalized third trimester abortions aka infanticide.
As if that wasn’t enough, Northam who believes that the outrage over “infanticide” is being “blown out of proportion, followed up with a press conference. Northam doubled down and for good reason, fellow Communist bureacrats had his back. Of course, they do. Infanticide laws are now being pushed through by state legislature’s of Progressive-governed states across the country.
Outcomes the yearbook and the Blackface and KKK photograph.
Northam issued an apology during which he promised to make up for his past while serving out his term. Statement and video below:
“My fellow Virginians, earlier today, I released a statement apologizing for behavior in my past that falls far short of the standard you set for me when you elected me to be your governor. I believe you deserve to hear directly from me. That photo and the racist and offensive attitudes it represents does not reflect that person I am today or the way that I have conducted myself as a soldier, a doctor, and a public servant. I am deeply sorry. I cannot change the decision I made nor can I undo the harm my behavior caused then and today. But I accept responsibility for my past actions, and I am ready to do the hard work of regaining your trust. I have spent the past year as your Governor fighting for Virginia that works better for all people. I am committed to continuing that fight to the remainder of my term and living up to the expectations you set for me when you elected me to serve. Thank you.”
First off, Republicans are not the only ones calling for Northam to resign. Progressives, correction REGRESSIVES one by one, group by group after some time began calling for Northam’s resignation as well.
“After some time” meaning exactly that. While many who share the same views could care less about Northam’s statement in support of infanticide, the outrage was Northam and the left’s SHTF moment and so they were forced into cleanup mode.
Northam, as mentioned in his yearbook had the nicknames, “Goose” and “Coonman.” Again, h/t Big League Politics who has documented everything about Northam from his nickname to Northam’s refusal to shake an opposing candidate’s hand during a televised political debate for the Virginia lieutenant governor’s race in 2013. Northam refused to shake the hand of Bishop E.W. Jackson during the televised debate when Jackson reached out to him. See video below.
Jackson has now joined the chorus of those calling for Northam’s resignation.
The Bleeding Continues….
Those who less than 24 hours stood undauntingly behind Northam are now calling for his resignation. That includes 2020 Democratic primary presidential candidates, all friends of Planned Parenthood, all who support infanticide and all of whom have in the past have rallied for and with Northam such as Kamala Harris.
Speaking of support, Barack Obama once rallied for Ralph Northam back in 2017.
Enter February 1, 2019 and the left is calling for Northam to resign:
Leaders are called to a higher standard, and the stain of racism should have no place in the halls of government. The Governor of Virginia should step aside so the public can heal and move forward together.
— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) February 2, 2019
It doesn’t matter if he is a Republican or a Democrat. This behavior was racist and unconscionable. Governor Northam should resign.
— Julián Castro (@JulianCastro) February 2, 2019
If @RalphNortham is one of the two people pictured in the highly disturbing, horrific photo wearing either blackface or a KKK hood – or if he selected or approved of its use on his yearbook page — he should immediately resign. There are no excuses for such a racist display.

It's the easy call: He needs to go. Unequivocally. https://t.co/vYRrFjeh05

Governor Ralph Northam must resign. There is no excuse for the shockingly racist picture. I note that Florida Republican Secretary of State Michael Ertel resigned last month for being in blackface. This picture is even worse. It's blackface next to a KKK figure. https://t.co/0Ujze6odGW

In the past 24 hours, we’ve found out that:
1. Elizabeth Warren was never Native American and apologized for saying she was.
2. Ralph Northam campaigned on Ed Gillespie being racist but oh how the tables have turned.

One more point (maybe, maybe not), off all those who once stood hand in hand (or nearly) with Ralph Northam, not one on the left issued a response earlier this week after Northam’s statement on infanticide. Their excuse is that they were unaware of Northam’s statement. That is the same defense being applied now when asked how is it that they were unaware of Northam’s past.
I would beg to differ with their response in both instances. To say, “I didn’t know,” “I don’t know,” “I am (was) unaware” is a convenient and easy way out.
Everything in this post, on social media, some cable network news networks under discussion about infanticide, third-term abortion, Andrew Cuomo Ralph “Coonman” Northam is directly linked to the historic yet ugly legacy of the Democratic Party which continues to fester this very day.
Trust me when I tell you that with 2020 around the corner, this is a conversation that the left does not want the public to have.
