Within hours of the 115th Congress coming to an end, Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, successfully pushed through seventy-seven of President Donald J. Trump’s long-awaited nominations, nominees who have been waiting to be officially placed in their posts for two years.
Of the seventy-seven positions nominated, none were judges. As expected, the greasy minority leader, Chuck Schumer, successfully blocked the appointments of the President’s federal judge nominees. McConnell will act to move them through the Judiciary Committee and on to the Senate floor where Republicans continues to hold the majority in the 116th Congress which begins today.
According to an article written by Susan Ferrechio at the Washington Examiner, the Senate confirmed, “eight U.S. attorneys and eight U.S. marshals, a member of the Federal Maritime Commission, and two members of the Federal Communications Commission. The Senate confirmed James Carroll Jr. to be director of National Drug Control Policy,” along with Ellen McCarthy who has now been appointed and confirmed as Trump’s assistant secretary of state.
Today, Progressives will take Congress of the House where, as one can expect, all hell will break out in their war against all things President Trump.
Obstructionists doing what they do best–
Americans got a taste of what is planned for the Trump administration on Wednesday when during a border briefing at the White House attended by party leaders, Schumer and soon to be Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi refused to listen to what Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of Homeland Security had to say.
House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy reported that “Once the secretary started, Schumer interrupted her and didn’t want to hear it.” The meeting ended, as planned by Progressives, no progress toward ending the government shutdown which is now into its 12th day.
How does one work to solve a crisis by refusing to learn about what’s happening to escalate said crisis and the options of putting the crisis behind us?
A White House official who spoke with The Daily Caller confirmed Pelosi and Schumer’s refusal to hear the Homeland Security Secretary out at the meeting.
“Democrats in the room either don’t care that there is a humanitarian crisis on the border or just prefer ignorance. It was incredibly disheartening that they don’t want to know the facts when making policy,” DHS Spokeswoman Katie Waldman said in a statement to TheDC.
Of course, Pelosi and Schumer playing to their base would have Americans believe otherwise. After all, President Trump’s priority is the safety of Americans and legal immigrants while the priority of Progressives is resistance and future illegal aliens aka future Democratic voters.
McConnell’s Message to Schumer, Pelosi – ‘No show votes’ in the Senate.
Without The Wall “It Won’t Pass Here”
As for the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, he has no interest in the crap that Pelosi and Schumer are pedaling under the guise of ending a government shutdown.
Senator Rand Paul shares his thought on the government shutdown and bitter NeverTrumper, Mitt Romney.
