Barack Obama has declared he’s going to reduce methane emissions from cow farts by 25%.. There’s only one way that’s going to happen.. Get rid of the cows..
The most effective way to do that is by using the EPA, USDA and BLM to regulate dairy farmers and ranchers out of business. And by questionable enforcement of existing regulations.
This bureaucratic targeting of the nations farmers has been going on for a while. Back as September 2011 Moos (our friendly Cow Blogger) wrote Hay, Hay, What’d You Say? a post about Milk Spill Disaster Plans and are you ready:
In a news release last week, the Environmental Protection Agency labeled hay a pollutant, according to the Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, United Stockgrowers of America (R-CALF USA). A non-profit organization representing thousands of U.S. cattle producers, R-CALF USA says the EPA’s outlandish affidavit could potentially require farmers and ranchers to store hay in pollution containment zones.
Moos’ blog went on to talk about a specific ranchers who the EPA had targeted.. This earned Grumpy Opinions a reply from the the EPA in our comment section.. They said Moos was mistaken and basically called the rancher a liar.. and they made it sound very official..
I figured I’d call Moos and let him know.. He wasn’t there so I left a message with his son
Moos has a hell of a sense of humor, and the post he wrote in reply; Don’t Say “Hay” About the EPA“ was one of the funniest he ever put together.. Well worth the read. Good enough the EPA apparently decided they didn’t want to continue debating a Cow Guy Blogger.
So we know this has been going on for a while..The American Cattle herd is at it’s lowest level since the 1950’s when the country’s population was less than 200,000,000, now it is over 300,000,000 and food prices are the highest they’ve been in living memory- both in terms of dollars, and as a percentage of the family income…

In January, Rancho Feeding Corp. started recalling nearly 9 million pounds of bad meat. Federal officials tell CNN that inspectors believe the Petaluma, California, slaughterhouse was buying cancerous cows and processing them when government inspectors weren’t looking.
But Niman said he only used the plant to slaughter his own BN Ranch cattle, not old, cancerous dairy cows. In fact, he said, either […]
