A Life Worth Living Meet — Avichai Kremer

- in Our Opinions

How many of us look at problems in our lives and want to give up? How many Dr. will refuse to give treatment to patients like the young man in the story below, in the future? Under Mr. Obama people with disabilities will probably be denied medical attention because some board that has no real idea of their potential, will decide if their lives are worth encouraging. They will be telling Dr.s not to pay for their treatment and they will be encouraging the patient to consider ending their own lives simply because in their mind, these people are worthless. The young man in the story below shows that far from being worthless, his life is worth much more that many of those who will be sitting on the “death panel” that is a prominent ideal of Obamacare. After nine years with the disease, Kremer is unable to move his arms, legs, or to speak. But his brain functions perfectly as does his brilliant mind, which he decided to put to very good use.
