Dave Marston, an alderman in Hudson, NY., found himself embroiled in controversy after calling gun rights supporters “gun toting tea party psychotards” in an email to Johanna Johnson-Smith, an organizer for the first NY SAFE Act protest rally in Albany last month, a post at the Mental Recession said Wednesday.
According to Rusty Weiss, Marston implied that all gun supporters are “unemployed,” threatened to “beat you barbarians back”, and, he added, tossed in a Nazi reference “for good measure.”
Weiss said the controversy began over a scheduled meeting in which the council is set to discuss an all-out gun ban on city-owned property, even for those with valid permits. A similar ban in the nation’s capitol was struck down by the Supreme Court, citing theSecond Amendment.
Johnson-Smith emailed Marston to let him know she would be at the meeting.
In response, Marston attacked her and everyone else who supports the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Its (sic) really neat that all you gun toting tea party psychotards are so interested in the goings on of our little City, even though I find it amazing that you don’t have any other pressing issues before you in New Lebanon,” he wrote.
“Two things,” he continued. “The only spit here is the white stuff frothing on the ends of that rotten little mouth of yours from which you spew this hateful ignorant trash. And a donkeys behind? The rabid ignorance of the fringe is best illustrated by its sad metaphors, I mean seriously, thank you for the laughs,”…………………….
He added a lot more, many conservatives believe liberalism is some kind of disease, with some of the characteristics of rabies — From time to time we’ve all encountered liberals in the finial stages.
